Why you'll love this trip

  • Santa Fe

The capital of New Mexico, Santa Fe, is the oldest capital city in the United States. Santa Fe, meaning “holy faith,” was founded in 1610 and originally occupied by a number of Pueblo Indian villages dating back from 1050 to 1150. Today, Santa Fe is widely visited by tourists for the history that can be seen through museums, traditions in music, dance and opera, as well as through the architecture. Santa Fe is also an area that has a high concentration of artists with several art galleries, where collectors, tourists and locals often come to view.

  • Bandelier National Monument

Venture to the Bandelier National Monument, a natural site of sculpted canyons and mesa tops where native Pueblo Indians settled. The landscape holds cliff dwellings and ruins of Pueblo villages dating back to the 1500s.

  • Acoma Pueblo

  • Canyon de Chelly

  • Monument Valley

Included with your Canyon Country vacation is a jeep tour of Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park – one of the most dramatic lands in all of North America. Discover this amazing area through an interpretative tour led by a member of the Navajo tribe. The Navajos have lived in this flat, often desolate landscape for centuries. As you ride across the dry plain, you'll pass deep red mesas and sandstone towers, many of them rising hundreds of feet into the air. Stagecoach, How the West was Won and Back to the Future III were all filmed in Monument Valley. It's a landscape as beautiful as it is barren – and an experience that will stay in your memory forever. Nature's breathtaking beauty surrounds you as you learn more about Native American history at Monument Valley.

  • Scenic Outdoor BBQ

  • Sedona

  • Scottsdale

Nicknamed "The West's most Western Town," Scottsdale, Arizona, is a bustling city of just over 220,000 people. Bordering the city of Phoenix, Scottsdale is known for its golfing and spa resorts and its beautiful desert landscape. Besides the world-class resorts, downtown Scottsdale has numerous buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places as part of its Old Town where the Old West meets the New West.
